Other Interesting Stuff
Here are some links that might be of interest to those that want to find out more about Brittanys and things they do, etc.
As people visit our website we occasionally find out of other folks that like the Brittany and their website as well. We will be adding links to other Brittany breeders as time goes by.
- Burchett's Bird Dogs - Iowa
Bob Burchett is one of the few folks that I will entrust a dog to. Besides being a great trainer and handler, Bob has one of the finest work ethics I have ever seen. Bob and his wife Chris are a great team, they work hard and they get results and Bob has the wins and finished dogs to prove it. Bob is a Brittany Pro and with our breed's requirement to get that 3 point or better win at a Brittany trial that is important. Bob is a well known and respected trainer/handler and hits many trials in the mid-west. When I go to a trial in the mid-west I go to one where Bob and Chris are. Not only do I like Bob as a trainer and handler, I like the man as a friend.
- Hideaway Kennels - Colorado
Ben Garcia is a fine young trainer right here in Colorado and the word on the street is that he breaks out a dog as good as the best of them. When you hear that coming from other trainers and field trialers, it shows you the respect that his peers have for him. We have puppy owners that have had their dogs with Ben and that have done well under his tutelage. Ben is a fine handler as well. Ben is an all around trainer and he has done well with pointing breeds and retrievers. While primarily a pointer and setter person he has done a great job with the Brittanys he trains. He has a soft touch and the dogs just seem to love him. If you are in Colorado and you are looking for someone to train and/or finish your dog, I highly recommend Ben.
- Anna B. Rose Kennels - Wisconsin
- Jayhawker Reg'd Brittanys -Canada
- Tobenlee Kennels - Australia
- FarOut Fields Brittanys - Florida
- Julry Kennels - Washington
- Rick Smith at Hunt Smith - Virginia
I cannot miss mentioning Rich Smith and his dad, Delmar Smith, and the influence they have had on me. I have learned a great deal from these gentlemen, about dogs and getting the best out of your dog.
- Cedar Valley Farms (Tom Tracy) - Virginia
Here are some great places to look for training supplies, etc. Not an advertisement but people are always asking where we show so here they are.
A Word of Appreciation
We would like to express a word of appreciation to the folks at ProPlan who make the food our dogs eat throughout their lives. Top performers need a balanced diet along with regular exercise and a lot of love and hard work. ProPlan provides the nutrition that our dogs need to perform at the top and lead healthy, happy lives.
Last but not least. A word of thanks for the groups that promote habitat and work diligently at educating people of the needs of our great upland game birds. We urge one and all to become members and help with the activities that will preserve our great birds so that they will be available in abundance for future generations.
