Rainbow Ridge Brittanys is the kennel name used by Jerry and Kathy Hogan. As the name implies, we are involved in Brittanys, only Brittanys. We have been involved in Brittanys since March of 1993 when we got our first Brittany, Arbri Mr Dee Dawg Dandy. We have been fortunate to have been relatively successful with our dogs and the puppies that we have brought into this world, having produced many show champions and a couple of field champions and one Dual Champion. We have also lost some very fine dogs over the years due to accidents or career ending injuries. Brittanys put everything they have into their activities, even more with dogs in the field, the old giving 110%, and sometimes bad things happen.
Our name was inspired by the beautiful rainbows that are common over Gunbarrel Ridge, just East of our former home in Boulder, Colorado, and which is in the open space where many of our early dogs were first introduced to the joys of field work. Our pups carry the Rainbow's kennel designation which is registered with the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association.
We are involved in both field trials and shows and are active members of the Skyline Brittany Club in Denver, Colorado. We both show our dogs, Jerry does field training and handles in trials and hunt tests while Kathy is responsible for getting our puppies well socialized, introducing them to conformation and occasionally handles dogs in hunt tests as well. Kathy also takes care of the grooming of our dogs.
Here we are with some of our Brittanys (Shadow, Deuce and Dixie):

We are now located outside of Bennett, Colorado, about 30 miles east of Denver and just south of I-70. We are situated on 35 acres and have immediate access to a large part of the Valhalla~Bijou Hunt Club which is where we do much of the training and conditioning of our dogs. We have access to grasslands, CRP and creek bottom along Kiowa Creek.
Here is our headquarters and kennel.
